A few weeks ago I went along to a really exciting event called PowerUp hosted by Intel Ultrabook at Hoxton Galleries. For four months Talenthouse had been on the hunt to find the next best DJ, scouring the UK and listening to many submissions before deciding on the final six who got to play alongside Benji B at the grand finale of the competition. Not only were the sounds pumping but onedotzero and Marshmellow Laser Feast had decked out the venue with an amazing, 3D interactive visual show with the use of the Ultrabooks. The evolving installation explored multidimensional animations using infinity mirrors and moved in time with the music and the result was pretty spectacular. Thanks to Talenthouse for inviting me down to experience it all first hand.

Last month London saw an exciting and unique charity event take place at Old Billingsgate Market put on by The Seven Bar Foundation. The foundation, run by Renata Black, is designed to empower women via microfinance by helping them out of poverty and into business. Using the power of women on the catwalk Lingerie London brought together a high net worth of people to inspire and generate funds for their cause and they were all indulged with a night of fine drinking and dining; not to mention the astonishing lingerie. The foundation worked closely with Agent Provocataur, Astudo Kudo and other couture lingerie designers to put on an astounding show which saw the liked of Abbey Crouch and Peaches Geldof take to the catwalk. Just take a look at some of the pieces that debuted in the photos. There’s only one word for them… Wow!
